It’s been all go. But you wouldn’t know it from what’s been displayed round these parts.
I used my break in Perth to spend a few hours every day, uninterrupted, on drawing a new pattern in cad. I’ve spent another two loooong days on it since we got back early Tuesday morn, and now it’s ready. It’s big, and I’ve just sent it off to The Laser-X-Perts for a quote. I’m mildly afraid for what the outcome of this exchange might be.
As for this Exchange – no fear at all! It’s going along swimmingly, and we’re finally up to our full complement of 20 contributing artists. The pattern I have just drawn will provide the basis for the works that I aim to exhibit with the Heat Exchange project, so while that’s being cut, (fingers crossed that it will be being cut…) I am free to accompany the TurboNerd on a business trip to Seattle. Leaving tomorrow…
While in Perth I also managed to send off my piece for The Raphael Prize. It was the piece that I recently borrowed the micromotor to engrave. At this stage I may just beat it to America…
Finally, let it be known that I’m having a solo exhibition at Studio 20/17, opening on the 28th of February next year! Eep!
