But here The Age reports on the latest craze sweeping the world, the gold ingot vending machine… Apparently the first was installed in 2009, in the departure lounge of Frankfurt Airport. Those Germans, as my friend Beate used to say back in Bristol. (She’d know, she was born and grew up in Germany.)
So, the latest has been installed in a shopping centre in Shepherds Bush, England. Don’t you think the photo at the top of the article just screams ‘cufflinks’? What an idea! A vending machine serving gold ingot jewelery to the savvy investor.
